Marcellus Shale development will have a positive impact on West Virginia's economy, creating jobs, generating business for communities across the state, and generating state and local tax revenues. A study conducted by West Virginia University and a presentation by State Deputy Director of Revenue, Mark Muchow, highlight the economic benefits that our state can accrue.
